How can I help you?

Will this work for me and my situation? Are you:

  • Feeling deeply unhappy and rarely experience joy.

  • Feel that no one understands you or is there for you.

  • Having re-occurring stressful relationships in your life.

  • Having difficulty managing alcohol, food, gambling, prescription medicines, or other substances.

  • Struggling with body issues; you dislike the way you look, or feel disconnected from your body.

  • Having health issues that are not getting better.

  • Finding you can’t get out of the pain.

  • Feeling helpless and hopeless at times.

  • Have you been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, PTSD, Addictions, Eating Disorders or Borderline Personality Disorder.

  • Do you have a chaotic, neglectful or traumatic childhood, or a traumatizing adult life experience.

Mary Anne combines a range of approaches including neuropsychotherapy, polyvagal theory, somatically based approaches (which explore the mind-body connection), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy (Mindful Self Compassion).

Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.”

— Pema Chödrön

What happens next?

  • Confidentiality is paramount.
  • The first few meetings provide an opportunity to form goals together that work for you.  Initial sessions give us time to assess how we can work together.
  • Once there is a safe feeling about working together the sessions continue until your goals have been attained.
  • Often we find goals changing as the therapy progresses.
  • It is ALL negotiable.
  • Timing of the sessions; sometimes weekly, sometimes fortnightly and sometimes monthly.
  • Sessions can be either online or in person.
